Hello all, fellow Corvette fans, I got the call today that my build was completed last Thursday and is on its way. 2023 3LT HTC Z51 Red Mist with CF roof and nacelles. It's been a long wait, but given me ample time to ramp up to the Corvette world, especially the FB forums, and now CCF! Going to my first Corvette show/gathering at Gateway in Brampton this Sunday. Should be riding with the top down by end of June.

A couple of questions. I live in the GTA.
Who are the preferred ceramic coating providers, estimated cost for a C8?
Same question for paint protection film
Lots of debate on timing of first oil change. Do we get the first change free as well as transmission filter as Americans do?
Any one been to Spring Mountain? Do we get the USD 1000 deal in Canada as well? Most say it is a must do experience if you can.
Are most adding the front screen radiator guards? The 2 liter top up transmission fluid?
Any experience with the ceramic brake pads?

Thanks for the add,
PS my vanity plate is SUPERC8R in case we exchange the V way on the road.

Welcome to the Forums!

I can't answer your Ontario-related questions but I'm sure there are many others who will.

For the first oil/filter change, you get 2 free ones and it's up to you if you follow the manufacturer recommended mileage or do it earlier. I did my first change after the break-in period but I always do them before it's recommended (being old school). All dealers I dealt with for those changes, had no problem with me doing them early and that seems to be universal.

I was at Spring Mountain in February this year. HIGHLY recommended. Yes I paid the subsidized rate of US$1,000.00 so Canadians get it too. A great deal for the money. Make sure you go and you can book once you've got a VIN. In other words, you don't need to wait for your "C8 welcome kit" with the coupon for Spring Mountain in it, assuming 2023 buyers get it (just like the 2020 to 2022 buyers).

I put on the grill guards, rather than look at damaged fins due to bug/rock strikes. GM says that damage won't effect performance but also acknowledged this year for the first time, that owners may not like the appearance. So they're supposedly going to come out with an OEM guard set-up. We were told at the recent end-of-April NCM Bash, GM is now working with a partner to develop guards that can easily go on/off...to ensure they can be readily removed for track use since GM is focused on optimizing the cooling ability of the C8 on the track (their words).

Topping up the transmission fluid is an ongoing debate. Do it for sure if you're going to track the car. Some think if not tracking it, the extra fluid may "strain" the system, whereas others think it's a no-brainer to put it in anyway. Talk you your local Corvette specialist or look up the commentary on these and other Forums, then decide.

No experience with CCB's but I plan to get them on my (hoped for) 2023 Z06, after reading ++ about them and listening to the discussion about their merits at the Bash. I expect they'll be expensive though.

Hope this helps.

Now my question for you: what interior colour choice did you make? Please post photos of your new ride, once it's arrived.

Thanks good info...interior custom black interior with red two tone seats and red stiching only available on 3lt. Lots of warnings about red clash, but no color override charge. I really like the two tone red look and when in the car, don't think clash will be an issue. Also plan to tint windows so not that visible from exterior. Black and red theme.
