So about 7 years ago, the government changed the laws about union jobs in Quebec (everyone is union by law for new construction). I used to work maybe 4-6 months a year as a plumber/pipe fitter for various companies. Then the law changed and it became a mess. Employers stopped calling the union for workers, it became cliques, friends calling other friends to get hired. Workers who could cut the most corners would keep their job. After 3 years I worked a total of 3 months, I was on the verge of bankruptcy, I had a 1000$ left in my bank account.
Months and months prior I was trying to find a new vocation but it would be too tough and to start at the bottom of poor pay scale then I saw a u-tube video so I decided to go back to school, earn a contractor licence and now I work for myself. I busted my butt to make my way into the heavy competition to make myself a niche. I even taught my self marketing, seo, building a website etc.
I'm looking to buy a car for my hard work and a goal to think of and ride on the week ends for all the customers who give me a hard time. It's something to look forward to.
And this is my cat... Merry Christmas.
