Help
I need to replace a C7 sunvisor. The pilot seat visor with a home remote in it.
Has anyone done this before and/or have instructions on the removal?
Reinstall should be no problem but it's a matter of getting the original one off.
Thank you

I don't have a car here to double check, but, there should be 3 phillips screws holding it on close to the A post. Once the screws are removed, carefully ease the wires out. There should be a small 2 (or 3 or 4) wire connector. Carefully disconnect and don't let the wire slip away on you! Re-install the new one the same exact opposite way.

☝🏻Wish it was that apparent but its not.

Researching I’ve only found C5 and C6 removals that were more than the removal of a screw(s). I should have posted photos.
I’d prefer not to guess at this task.
Everything is rigid (not flexible) and first
chance of prying without knowing may just likely end up with me needing more parts ... unless someone has done this before. Thank you.

I've done this to install Homelink on my 1LT and it was very easy. Just gently pry down on that cover starting with the part that is closest to the rear. I used a small screwdriver with the tip wrapped in a thin rag. Once it's off there are a few screws to remove, then the assembly drops and there will be a few inches of wire that come with it, so you can take the electrical connection apart. I was nervous doing it as well, but even my first time, once I actually started, it took about 10 minutes.

Hey no worry with the sorry ... and just a push for more suggestions. Thank you.
Thank you @frankmp for a link that had photos for a different mod that required the visors to be removed. Starting with the rigid caps. They have pinch points that are easily taken care of with a pick tool.
Removal of torx screws and reinstall to come later as I need to pick up my $288 replacement visor - but can now save on the installation. Thank you fellas 😁👍🏻

Posting my photos for CCF to have it referenced now. 🤘🏻 Removal of the rigid cap covering the visor torx screws.

The cap easily detaches from the stem as it is likely I have to transfer it to the replacement visor (picking that up next Friday) ... thread to be continued ...

Once the replacement is connected there is a sponge sleeve to cover it as you feed the connecter back into the a-pillar space. Test the connection by checking the visor mirror lights. Verify that the wire will not pinch with the screws - there is a hold-down tab for the wire (see photo). Reconnect with the 3 torx head screws and reinstall the screw cover plate.

Ok I guess I will share why the visor needed replacing ... 😇 ... I am taking apart the old visor ... here is the broken piece. Not sure how this happened as we really never noticed it since delivery 3 years ago ...

So I found out that the visor mirror will pop out with careful prying. I will add some photos to this thread to share with those who like to take apart things to see how they work like I do. In this case, if I can find a mirror, I can now pop it all back together ... with hopeful “good as new - refurbished - reconditioned” resolve.

the mirror can be pried from the back hinge. There are two plastic claws at both back corners that you need to gently detach.

this is what the back claw looks like

The front of the visor mirror assembly has 3 long tabs that slide out of the visor once the two back claws are disengaged. (I have removed the broken mirror already as it had tiny pieces crumbling)

Here is the back side of the mirror that has a little bumper pad that I need to transfer to a new mirror (if I can find one or get one made). This bumper pad is used by the hinge switch as a rest/support.
