Well summer has arrived in Alberta. After a coolish June, July and part way through August, we are under a heat advisory for almost the next 10 days. Hit 33 today and pretty much 31+ forecasted until September 9. My barley crops are in the bin and my pasture will support the cows for at least another month. Was an early grain harvest this year and bumper crops. My crop was in early this year but most of the fields around me will be combined likely this week or next. Good year for the farmers but most of them will still find something to complain about. That's the nature of farmers.
