Looking for recommendation . Looking for a place to buy a good quality storage bag to store roof panels for a c3. Pervious owner was not so careful about keeping them from getting damaged in the back of car.

thanks

@shades999 ..
We’ve had our ‘75 coupe for a while now. When we first got it we tried using the factory vinyl/leather storage bags with the metal snaps. They were an absolute pain to safely get the roof inside and the snaps ‘snapped’. We then tried the aftermarket bags with Velcro and they were better but still a pain to get the roof in the bag.
Soon after I came up with a method that protects the roofs and is quick&easy.
I cut two pieces of 1” thick soft foam the size of the rear compartment.
Flip the seats forward, remove a roof and place it in the back, lay on a piece of foam, place the other roof on top and then the second piece of foam. Pull the tie-down straps and you’re done.
It only takes about two minutes to take the roofs off or put back on.
Later on I covered the foam pieces in Terry-towel material the same colour of the interior.
The covers can come off the foam to be washed.
These foam protector cans also be used at car shows to sit on the grass.

try the foam method.. it really works.

The striped covered foam is on the top of the first panel, the upper foam is done in Terry-towel and faux leather.
Once in-place you can put anything on top without fear of roof damage.
We’ve been doing this for 35+ years.

PS if you are near me in Langley, BC you can drop by and have a peek.
I can also show you a couple of different types of t-top bags.
