No excuse. 104 spray cans will remedy that. That's 2 coats by the way and a clear coat finish. Won't be able to tell it's not factory.....;)
Quite right Rruuff, nothing like a Hillbilly paint job, I once did a VW rabbit with 13 spray cans of Tremclad, tol the kids it was special "Forest Green"

In the '50's my inlaws painted their car with paint brushes. He brushed up and down on one side and she brushed back to front on the other side. Nobody noticed if the car drove by! LOL

And that's how you actually get a 1 of 1 car folks. You can say it's the special order paint just like Porsche does for about 15000$. (I might be off by a bit on the cost)

My late grandfather was a jack of all trades. He never owned a new car but he gave them all new paint jobs with a brush and house paint.

a neighbors son was an innovator, painted his old chevy with medium blue tremclad using a roller. Called it the custom pebbly finish.
