Just been unable to do hardly anything this year again, but I managed to pull the Crossfire out first time this year and participated in a small show and shine in a neighboring town last weekend. The BC smoke was terrible but 13 vehicles showed up. I drove in the Parade earlier as well . I was abit surprised but the XFIRE won people's choice which came with a $100.00 gift certificate from the local liquor vendor......!!!!!!!

Love the Pontiac. Is it a 64?

Cool cars and that smoke will wash away with the $100.00 booze credit. Car looks great.

I believe I had a dinky toy/matchbox version of that Pontiac. A green one if I remember correctly. Nice pics. And a nice “atta boy” for the award can make your day a little better. Congrats.

The Pontiac is a 1963 Grand Prix , 421 badge on the fender , factory 4 speed , tach and speed warning speedo , 8 lug wheels, still original interior. He has owned it for 45 years , I remember when he brought it back from BC back then.

Thanks X really like that car. When I was a kid we had relatives living in Detroit. I remember one time on our way to visit we were stopped at a traffic light and a black and gold one pulled up beside us, it was lettered up as "Tin Indian" and was so cool.

Thanks for the background story on it.

I tried with my 67 SS 396 Impala but could not beat that 63. The shifter sits at a angle leaning towards the driver. Notice the speed warning needle set at 85. Years back we dressed up my 58 and his 63 for a cousins wedding.

I see "smoky" in a few of those pics … I did a double take realizing
you have that RCMP Cruiser in the same spot in two different photo angles
and then zoomed in to see he actually stopped there to chat.
A good reason to stop and chat too, with nice collection gathered there :canada:

Yeah he stopped to chat and buy a hamburger from the vendor setup behind the Camaro . New member just 2 months, originally from Vancouver .

Hey X .
Thanx for the pics., What a great little show.
I thinking you could have doubled the car attendance if you had brought all yours!
Some nice cars there.
Owned that Pontiac for 45 years! Impressive.
I talked to a fellow at a Cruise last night that bought his ‘69 Cougar NEW and it still looks great.

Congrats on the people’s choice.

Graham
