Never achieved the title of World Champion but may have been simply one of the best drivers in history passed away this morning at 90 years of age.

After I bought my first Corvette (1969 L89) I was told by several people that Stirling Moss had taken it around the Track for a few laps where they used to hold Can-Am and Trans-Am races in Edmonton. The car was sold to me as a "demo" with a few thousand miles on it but at the time I bought it I wasn't aware of the fact that one of the greats had added to it's history without leaving any documentation..

A motoring legend and a gentleman. He was known as a fierce competitor with little fear. If I remember right, his last crash ended his racing career when he suffered injuries that left him with some nerve damage. RIP
