One of these things just doesn't belong here :) Already had a customer come in and say " Can I get the keys to the one in the middle instead of the Focus?" Ha

What Dealership did you use, in Edmonton? If I made be so Bold to ask...Please.

The dealership is Sherwood Park Chevrolet.
There was a screw up with the shipping of my new Z from Ontario and they sold my 15 during the month I was away. So even though the mistake was technically the responsibility of the Ontario dealership... they gave me the new Stingray to limp around in for a week till mine was delivered and prepped. Pretty classy move on their part I thought. Never cost me a dime and it was running and full of fuel when I arrived to pick it up. 👍

Sounds like a good dealership - kudos to them!!

I wish Richard. After 3 attempts and 2 actual cars in front of me for a huge premium over MSRP... I didn’t get a ZR1.
This was in the summer of 17. The A8 was great in city traffic of course but I was extremely happy to get my hands back onto the M7 handle a few days later. 😂

Thanks, for the info.
I too, tried for (Only) 1 ZR1. Long story short, by the time I felt, finally, we were on the same page, someone bought it, from under me.
I would Gladly purchase one, today-if I could get the Colour Combo, I want.
The C8, to me, might have to wait a year. I want the Z version, instead of a Ray version. That way, I’m Not looking for What I missed out on...

That was my point: most do not think about long-term customer relationships - thus , the kudos.
Ok ... I do see your point of view. Thx

I kinda went the route that maybe the dealership was rattling in their boots with a screwed up Z06 delivery date maybe giving the buyer and “out” and only then realizing an intern remedy was needed.

(and I will admit it being a bit reactive on my part following my experience while shopping a 2016 at that dealer)

I bought 3 vehicles there within a year. Paid cash for all of them. Had a substantial deposit on the ZR1 as well the day I took delivery of my 17Z.
ZR1 time... they laugh at me when I insist on paying nothing over MSRP. 2nd ZR1 comes in... they laugh again.

I informed them that it pleases me that they find me funny. ... they apologize.
I will never buy another car there. Now who’s laughing. Ya..nobody.

Apparently new ownership group took over sometime in the process.

Good service dept though... well it was last year. They did all the work on the corvettes and my H1. Heading back in there for a service on the Z this week. Will see then I suppose...

Extremely short term thinking on their part. My motto has always been, virtually anyone can sell you a quality product, the dealer can make a huge difference in the long term. It is a classic case of controlling what you can. I cannot control what my chosen manufacturer does but I can control our customers experience so we focus on that. Critical in a small town, still very important in a city but it seems they think they have an endless supply of customers. Some dealers are feeling the downturn in the economy way more than others due to this mentality!
