Seeking Purchase of CQuartz Finest

Les, I have never heard of this product before. Are there no Canadian dealers? Really how much shine do you want the car to have? :Biggrin:It is blinding now.

I absolutely love the sealant I use by Blackfire but want to go one higher and try this... It is a clear ceramic coat and, from what I have been told by a member here recently, applying this on the rims makes it a simple spray to get the damn brake dust off the rims. i curse now and the wife laughs...tells me all that brake dust should be telling me something.. In any case...always up to check out something new...

I don't know anything about the CQuartz, but I too have black wheels and hated the brake dust. I switched to the Carbotech 1521 pads and the reduction in brake dust was huge, about 85% less and the braking is great. No noise and the pedal feels firmer.

I am actually following another's lead who did the XPEL followed by CQuartz. It was only then that I discovered that ceramic coating would work to enhance the XPEL... Will follow this up as I learn more.

Actually....presently I use Blackfire Sealant over the XPEL and get tons of comps on the finish...very few people ever realizing the XPEL has even been applied.

Did you install them yourself? As for CQuartz finest...taken care of.

Manny installed the pads along with Spiegler s/s lines. Supposedly they are easy to do but I wanted to ensure they are done right, as the lines had to be bled. I wish I had the money to do AP Racing brakes all around:( Less weight, better breaking.

I will most likely do the brakes myself as I am not doing the lines... As for the CQuartz, there is little question that it is the best you can get for your car and a single application lasts well over two years. The concern I had was whether the fact that it is a ceramic hard shell coating would inhibit XPELs self-healing properties or whether it might yellow the XPEL because of the CQuartz ingredients. XPEL has tested CQuartz Finest and their CEO has made statements confirmed the fact that CQuartz works great on top of XPEL and that it doesnt yellow or affect XPEL's self-healing properties whatsoever.

So... I will probably take the time and apply it next week once I have the car set and clean for the winter...

Where can I (we) buy it and cost? You can pm me the info if not able to post it publically. Thanks.

Just a note to all aspiring 'but unsure' ceramic coating installers. Since becoming familiar with this fairly new product I have seen a few disasters with respect to consumer installations. There is a reason why ceramic coating manufacturers are qualifying certain detailers for the applications. Whether CQuartz or Opti-Coat Pro, if attempted by anyone who may not be "somewhat capable" of the basic technique to ensure a smooth and even result, they may find themselves with a mass of shadowing and high spots that will literally be cause for a nervous breakdown (of coarse depending on how much they love their car.) Many folks out there are quite capable of a successful installation but be aware that an unsuccessful result must be immediately polished out ...and if left more than a week to cure may result in the need of a complete wet-sand removal. Unless of coarse they're okay with the unique looking checkerboard effect.
