  • Want to start a new thread to remind everyone this is coming up. Less than 2 weeks away and by Stefanis01 account Highway 1 is paved and clear from Banff to Canmore. Pushed back meeting time as hey, it's a weekend! Long range temp looks to be +22 so no reason not be on the road!

    Rocky Mountain House/Saskatchewan Crossing/Lake Louise/Cochrane Cruise

    • 8:30 to 9:30am Meet Rocky Mountain House Southside Tim Horton's (Lot's of
      room along the service road)
    • 9:30 am ish Leave Rocky and head west
    • 1:00 pm ish Lunch @ Saskatchewan Crossing
    • Whenever Head south to Lake Louise
    • Whenever Stop in Banff
    • Reach Cochrane Late afternoon.
    Let me know here if you will attend and I will keep a running list. As we get closer I will send out reminders to all.

I was just signing in here to send you a message that I booked my car to get a stock alignment from a crooked alignment. ;)


OK, I booked my car in for a "stock" alignment on Aug 8th... so that means I am thinking more on your cruise. Screw the mileage! Sad when a car with 20,000 km is considered old or less in demand. :(

My life has been so busy the past 2 years I have a hard time planning or doing everything. I'm not always lost like a woman can be! haha oops, did I just say that. Just ask Nanook ( yellow ZR1 ) if he comes on this... he has been dealing with me being undecided so much that past year. I will email him tonight about this event or I see now he joined the forum ( told him about this place )



Now, I do have a room booked at Buffalo Mountain Lodge up tunnel mountain road. I wanted to be away from downtown are parking is so stupid at the hotels on mainstreet... always packed... kinda fussy how I park. Not anal, just fussy.

After Banff I will probably drive to Canmore to wash any bugs off the car and then drive back to Banff.

Thought I'd get a few chuckles Brian. Great to hear you're coming, but I'm not changing the post! Would be good to have Nanook out too. Would love to see that big yellow bird of his. We are undecided about staying in Banff but if the feeling strikes us we may. Yeah it's summer but there's always cancelations. See you on the 10th!

You can leave it up... I can take some teasing. I have maybe 50-100 projects and things to do or get done so planning how to enjoy life can be confusing at times. Too much to try juggle.

I will talk to Nanook and see if he wants to do the day trip or hang in Banff longer.

Count me in for maybe as well. Would be good to have your number Rocky. I might try to make it out, but getting to timmies that early from Edmonton might be a chore. Whether I go or not..........someone please take a lot of pics.
 
Just come through Canmore this past Saturday with the vette and no issues with the highway......unfortunately I won't be able to make it to this event as we will be on our return from the Oregon coastline.
 
Vince, if we know you're coming we could wait another 15 minutes efore we take off from Timmies! It's all about the cruise not the race, HaHa! Too bad to hear that Somebody but there's always next time. Be sure to post some pics from your trip too. Brian is that the selling point to get Nanook to come? Official pic taker! Works for me!

Nanook told me he has a family thing that weekend. He can't make it.

I have a Canon 7D that takes decent pics. Hope I can remember how to use it... used it once in the past year... been way too busy with stuff. :(

Is there a Husky or Petro Can that sells 94 octane in RMH ? I need the good stuff.

Hey Brian, good job with checking out the fuel situation! I checked your PM but then came here and saw you had the answer. We have a new member, Jeffer2013 just signed up. He should be posting in intro soon. Looking forward to the 10th!
 
OK, I am leaving for Kelowna tomorrow am for the long weekend ( not in the Corvette ) so will check back here mid next week to see what is going on with this event.

I mentioned this cruise to a guy with a 2008 silver Z06 and he is trying to get some tuning stuff done to maybe go on this.

I still have an alignment booked for next Thursday and taking next week off to relax and detail the ZR1 a bit.

I think I am coming!!!!

Might depart at lake Louise to go play some golf in golden, or maybe sundre. I will do my best to make this. Will be fun to drive down the Hilary in a long line of vettes!!

Well it's only 5 days till Saturday morning! I'm pumped about this cruise. Never been on one but looking forward to meeting everyone who will show up. If you wake up Saturday morning and decide to come and haven't posted, don't worry just head out and meet up.
We will be leaving Rocky South Tim Horton's between 9:30 to 9:45 am. 2 car wand washes in town so no waiting. I found out that Aug 10 is the Local Western Wheels show and shine on main street so the washes may be a bit busy as people are rinsing off thier cars though!

I'm back from Kelowna.

I have till tomorrow to decide on my room in Banff. my one Z06 buddy can't go.

It was expensive... I might cancel it and make it only a day trip or where are you staying in Cock-k-ran? My brother is in Calgary and asked him if he wanted to come but he is dog sitting.....

Still booked to get un-krooked on Thursday.


Do any of you have FRS radio's --- might be something to bring along charged up and get all on the same channel.
 
I have 2 at office will check them tomorrow. A couple More might not hurt.
Jeff we are booked in cochrane too.
