I noticed this morning that Riley is at 9991 posts (at the time of this writing subject to audit verification by the firm of Dewey Screwum and Howe).

That is an incredible number of posts which leads to the the following technical question that only the moderators could answer. When it goes to 9999 does the next one click over to 0001, is this another YTK? :Banghead:Can we call him a newby again? Demand pictures of his car?

Seriously Riley always enjoy your thread and posts. Hope all is well with you and Congratulations.:Cheers2:

Exactly Fred. Maybe people can take shifts in the Riley Milestone Watch.

Yes...I noticed a while ago that Riley was inching towards the big 10K. Insofar as what number will come up on the screen, I think this will be very similar to Y2K Murray, as you noted. We should start preparing now as did our government and private business did back then. Computers will all spontaneously catch on fire...Planes will fall out of the air....all public infrastructure will cease working...satellites will all crash to the earth.... all bank accounts will be erased .... It may be the end of the world as we know it unless we spend billions of dollars preparing for it.... ..

ok.... gotta run to the bank....

... and we can't forget to add that ...
... Pigs will fly and ... Corvettes will have an engine behind the Driver ... :nailbiting:

or did they say "only one of the above would happen..."
gotta run to the bank for that one too

Wow what a milestone for Riley! Agreed Murray his humour is great and I really enjoy it.

Riley your humour, positive reactions and support for the questions posed all over these threads are much appreciated.
Looks like I'm screwed if your 10K hit takes down the internet and causes worldwide grid failures..... my wife has no access and can't rush to the bank and clean out the Corvette / Hummer account. :Banghead:
Bet the damn phone bill will come on time though...;)

Well done Man. Look forward to the next 10k if we still have internet and power.

D

Thank you for the awesome comments and encouragement everyone. I only noticed this a couple days ago as I mostly use the mobile site and it doesn't give a post count.....unless you turn your phone sideways, which I rarely do.
10,000 posts.... it seems like only yesterday I had 3,000. I guess all those useless posts really add up! :D
As for the humour and positive attitude, it's just a reflection of the members. Easy to do when you have such great people on here!

Thank you so much everyone! I look forward to the next 10,000 with everyone as well!

Wow close to 10K, that is a lot of post. Wondering how you could think of so much to say? Congrats Riley

Lastly, to answer your question as it was sort of a direct question.....honestly I don't know, but we've been lucky enough to see the introduction of the C6GS, ZR1, 427, C7, and C7 Z06, so GM has given us lots to talk about. That accounts for about 3,000 posts. 5,000 comes from an odd side effect of making friends with the people on the forum and having fun conversations. And lastly, 2,000 comes from absolutely useless posts.

Hahahaha. Oh man, that means I can only post once per year from now on for that to happen. :D

I should probably update my picture. But it is interesting to see the small changes I've made to the car over the past 8 years, as I didn't really think I've done anything to it. So, here are your pictures Murray!

May 2008 - 82,000 km

August 2017 - 140,000 km

The car's aged better than I have! :D

I really like those front marker lights Riley. They really do make a difference in the looks of the car.

Great pictures Riley.

9995 and Graham still has not sorted his socks.

Those marker lights were on my list for a looooooooooong time. Finally I used Fathers Day as an excuse to buy them. I just need a couple more kids to push me over the edge to get turbos. :D

9,997! Graham better get sorting!
