Well with the cold temperatures starting and winter just around the corner I decided to store the ‘84 and start my interior restoration.
Removed the passenger door panel, changed both interior and exterior glass sweeps then re-dyed the door panel and bottom carpet panel as well as changed the arm rest color from saddle to black.
Tomorrow onto the driver door

Interior completed , looking forward now to finding a way to restore the original look of the saw blades 🧐

Thanks … Taking me back to Sept 84 … buying my 1st Brand New Chevrolet positioned beside the Corvette that I could not stop checking out.
Settling and was definitely not complaining to nab a Bright Red Z28 that looked just like the Brochure.

Finally attacked the rms today..not too bad and easier than I thought, just a lot of elbow grease and multi-grades of sandpaper finished with Mother’s polish and fine steel wool

Before and after shots

Looks great!
Do you add a clear coat when it's done?
