AIM Assembly Instruction Manual used by factory workers to build the car.

GM Chassis Service Manual used by service technicians to fix the car at the dealership.

Both can be sourced for your particular year on eBay in CD.

I have both and they are very helpful.

As Brian & Greg suggest...
The GM Service and Overhaul manuals are the best,
the assembly manuals are also a must....
I also found some info in this book..'How To Restore And Modify Your Corvette'..from Motorbooks International.
It had some non-stock hints.

There is also a a 'Vette Views Fact Book' for the C3's that has lots of factory stock restoration details.
You can't have too much information..
