What brand of aftermarket harmonic balancers are people using to replace their faulty GM units? When I see figures of 30%, that tells me to get a new one and be ready for what has a good chance of happening. Here is a guy on Youtube going through the method of getting at the harmonic balancer and doing the job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl-a4aaVPk0 The engineers couldn't have buried the front of the engine better if they had tried. Might just be a good project for next winter. Another preemptive strike so to speak. We would like to drive to the west coast next summer and don't need this kind of worry hanging over our heads.

ATI is really good. SLP and Powerbond (which I believe are one and the same) are a couple of other options. I'm sure Manny and Arun could recommend the best pulley for your needs
