I went through this with my '05. I found a new mirror cover on ebay, but wasn't able to get it on without damaging the visor itself. After that I just used black elastics to hold it together. A bit ghetto, but it didn't look out of place really.
 
As mentioned, SouthernCarparts as well as others on ebay do sell the replacement covers. They are not easy to put on, but if you have a 90 degree pick tool, it can easily be done. Here is a video of it being managed.
