I did my seats last January. Pretty straightforward process. If you review the instructions and see the photos you can actually purchase scrap foam and jute from an upolstery shop and cut the pieces yourself. It’s crazy that when the cars are built they wouldn’t put jute between the wire frame and the foam to stop the wires from cutting through.
the seats have stood up well this last summer on our 10,000 km journey to and from Bowling Green and with a lot of beeswax leather restorer the creases have softened too.
good luck and enjoysitting higher in your seats!

I did the repair kit to the seats in my C6. It helped but didn't last long. The metal supports inside the frame are poking into my backside.

Yesterday, I spent a solid 3 hours adding more foam, jute and reinforced the cushion to fix the problem, but it was no avail. It still pokes my backside.

Any suggestions on what to do before I go and spend a couple of grand on a new, aftermarket seat?
