Started playing with the rear view camera mirror and realized it was blurry !
I happen to be farsighted and can`t focus my eyeball to see the mirror easily. When using a cellphone, PC or counting what`s left of my money after paying for a C8 , I have to put on my reading glasses.
So I have to have my right eyeball with a reading lens and the left without to make it work or use a monocle when in my C8.
Glad I paid the extra $10k for the HTC so I can use the regular 50 cent mirror instead.
There is NO cure for this, so consider. monocole.png

I don't use it because I have to raise my head too high to see it through my bifocals. The side mirrors can be adjusted to cover the blind spots. The only time I use it is backing out of a parking spot.
The problem with the camera mirror is your eyes must focus on the screen whereas a mirror your focus is on what's behind you.

I have all the same problems as I too have a different prescription for seeing near and far. Things are a bit blurry when I glance up at the rear view camera but I still prefer it as I can distinguish if something is there or not. It did take some getting use to as in the beginning, I felt a little motion sickness? All good now though. I have progressive lenses in my glasses. Not sure if that makes a difference? I actually love the wide angle of camera now. Coupled with the rear view door mirrors and cameras, I can actually see out of the back of this thing better than my 2010 Camaro.

Ya I know this is the C8 section but I have this camera mirror on my 2019 Sierra and as much as I try, I stopped using it - except when towing as the additional peripheral view can help at times. Even with my old eyes, I find regular mirrors and over-shoulder checks the best option. So when considering a C8, the camera mirror will have very little meaning during the point-of-sale speech for me - as long as the option remains to turn-it-off … 😂 👍🏻

if you gave glass with bi-focal. I am putting a larger mirror over with 2 front camera (i have 1 lt)

My wife and I both have bifocals and we don't use the camera mirror. With the side mirrors adjusted properly you don't need the rear mirror camera.
That said, if you add a bigger mirror it won't help you, except for the front cameras of course.
The only time I use the camera mirror is when it's raining as it's much easier to see out the back when the window streaks with water.
BTW, I find if I squint when I look at the mirror camera it helps a lot. It's like I do when I'm trying to read the bedside clock in the middle of the night without glasses. You just have to get used to squinting when you look at it.

I also wear glasses. I find I have to keep my head on the headrest to get a clear vision of the camera. Glancing over isn't as good as turning your head slightly to look at the rear view. But I still like it. Gives a great wide angle vision. With the top down I have horrible blind spots from the narcelles.

That's why I said to squint. Then you don't have to adjust your head.
And sorry, your side mirrors are not adjusted correctly if you have blind spots.

I'm old school. Was always taught to look over your shoulder. LOL. The side mirrors do have blind spot detection which helps. My mirrors are adjusted to see properly. Its just an old habit to look over my shoulder.

I'm just old and can't look over my shoulder! ;)

I think there's a fairly minor surgery that lets your head pivot 180 degrees... A snip here and a snip there...
Don't need to do a Linda Blair, but thanks for thinking of me! ;)

Thinking there's a lot of members here that likely have no idea what you're talking about...lol... Buddy and I saw that movie when it hit the theatres...I was 18 and it scared the bejesus out of me.... Mild though compared to some stuff now-a-days...

Me too. Never had some many nightmares back then after watching it. It still haunts me. LOL.
