Request Question about front collision braking

On a 2025 C8 with front collision warning and braking. I have this option on my window sticker. I have it set in setup to alarm and brake. I have never had any alarm or braking. If I go up fast behind a slower car and don’t brake until I apply brakes I would hit then. Following a car I do get the warning on screen about follow distance. Example 3.0 seconds or lower. Any suggestions I don’t think it is working.

If I come up behind a slower moving vehicle while accelerating I get a warning alarm and a large red square on the display but have yet to have the brakes activate automatically. I think you can turn this off can't you? And prior to that it does display a car icon indicating a vehicle up ahead. Mine is a 2024 .

Thank You for your reply. Yes I get the little car between the two green lines on the dash display. I have never seen any warnings on the HUD or display. And yes I have turned on the Emergency Front Collision to be alarm and brake. Thank you this helps.
