It's started, the pressure pot of quality versus production, can we have both? Well, yes we can if there is integrity among all personnel involved with the build process for the C8 corvette. Telltale signs of sloppy production assembly have started to rise to the top, as cream rises to the top of milk production, not so with C8s quality gap and misaligned parts.
There is no excuse for panel gaps and chipped paint caused by sloppy assembly due to lack of integrity, as power from above has laid down the gauntlet for production.
Soon, in July, a second shift will begin, yes more of the prestigious corvettes will roll off the assembly line with a destination to a very patient customer.
Will, there be a plethora of shiny corvettes with gap issues and misaligned parts that the dealerships will have to correct.?
Will history be repeated as GM from the past as they forego quality for production numbers and profit. Time will tell. And time is what GM has not!
