GM announced a price increase today of $1000.00 also confirmed by Kerbeck Corvette so any cars ordered after today would be charged an extra grand.
I wonder what GM Canada will do as with the the exchange 1.26 I can see $1500.00 price increase in Canada:swear:

I am curious how it will affect Canadian orders as well as present orders are price protected, but any change whatsoever may mandate the price increase as is the case in the US. I am considering bumping to 3LZ and have been mulling it over but a price increase to get that would shut that down.

More importantly though, and perhaps you might know Owais, my dealer still hasn't changed to the courtesy delivery dealers location number. Does this constitute an order change that might kick in an increase, of an increase is put into effect?

As far as I know sneakytoot is right. As long as you have an order number you are price protected provided you get a 2015 C7. If your dealer does not have allocation and you get bumped to a 2016 C7 then there will not be any price protection unless GM Canada surprises us again and extends the price protection to your 2016 factory order.

What I am not sure of is if you make a major order change on the same order are you still price protected. I mean if someone originally ordered a coupe 1LT base and then after the price increase changes the order to a 3LT Convertible Z51 are they still price protected? I will have to dig into the policy a little deeper to find out about that. Will post here if I am able to find out.

One thing GM won't do ahead of time is announce any price protection before 2015 production ends. At best they would only honor any non-built 2015 confirmed orders. They'd be foolish to do otherwise or I'd be borrowing money and ordering up 5 of the Z06's to sell State side..................

There is no price increase in Canada at this point. A change was made to my order today without any price alteration. The dealer says it will most likely follow the US but once again will be on a later Canadian date.

I don't think we'll fair as lucky as the US, if you care to call it lucky. I have a gut feeling this increase won't be comparable to the US side. All I can say I'm so glad my order is in and price protected.

Does anyone know if the rear Z06 top air scoop vents will fit a regular Stingray?

If your talking about the 2 air scopes on top of the left and right rear fenders yes they will fit thinking of getting a set for mine

Please don't shoot the messenger but prices went up as of Feb 4th. I just saw the bulletin.

All orders submitted by end of day Feb 3rd got price protection.

2dr Coupe $57,315 increase to $59,495 price protection of $1,886
Convertible $62,695 increase to $65,245 price protection of $2,206
2dr Coupe - Z51 $62,695 increase to $65,245 price protection of $2,206
Convertible - Z51 $68,070 increase to $70,995 price protection of $2,530
2dr Coupe - Z06 $85,095 increase to $86,995 price protection of $1,644
Convertible - Z06 $90,595 increase to $92,745 price protection of $1,860

Prices also went up on the following nameplates
Cruze
Volt
City Express
Express
Savana
Silverado
Sierra
Tahoe/Suburban
Yukon/Yukon XL

No increase on Buicks and Cadillacs.

Cant say I didn't see it coming!

Does this mean that any changes to existing orders after this date will be subject to new pricing as they are saying in the US?

As well....can u post or pm me the bulletin? So my lost out on price protection last year not knowing or because they didn't have the proper papers to show the dealer...who should have known anyway...

Cheaper than I expected, I figured the CDN dollar nosedive would have a larger impact.

I can still afford my Z06 if that Dealer that promised me an allocation is actually telling the truth.

Glad you are are honest, Owais, it gives us all hope !

Matt

@AllFlash: The bullitens from GM Canada are confidential in nature therefore I am unable to share the entire bulliten with the forum or via PM. The info which I believe is not confidential and would be of value to our C7 forum members has already been shared above.

I built my same car on their website this morning, saved at least $10k by going with a 2014 last year. Those two gears on the A8 are very expensive, outside of that it's the same car.
