Who Knows Electronics?

I believe the original is a "polystyrene capacitor" and has "75" written on it and a "J" written under the "75" and they don't make these anymore.

I'm looking for the modern replacement to do the simple fix. Otherwise I have to remove carpet to install a generic replacement and just too much work.

Looks like you have the old one in hand. You should be able to go to a "GOOD" electronics store and get a replacement. By good I mean a place where staff knows what they are selling.

I have found old stock "Polystyrene 75 PF 650V capacitors" available in the US
And I also found the modern replacement " 75 pF 100 V or 200 V "C0G" ceramic capacitor" and waiting for price and availability.
