This might be a dumb question, but is it possible to add more clear-coat to a car, but not paint it?

My paint looks pretty good, but there are some "circles" in the clear-coat. Is it something that can be re-applied to take away the streaks?

There's only a couple scrathces that go deeper, so I'm curious. I might also try Zaino first, but the stuff I used in the other thread looked great, but not for long. The wax stayed on real nice, but the rest of it just washed right off.

Lemme know! iamwithstupid:

There is a place in Port Colborne that sell a lot of product for removing swirls and detailing your car. They also have a good web site with a fair bit of information on the subject. There is also a tone of how -to videos on Utube. Here is a good place to start and read:

eShine Canada - Removing car paint Swirls, Klasse Car Care, Klasse All-In-One, Klasse Sealant Glaze, Automotive Cleaning, Sheepskin Cloth, Terry Cloth, Soap, Wax

As for products that work well; ask ten guys and get ten answers. At a resent show I purchased some Adams detail spray, and I am quite impressed with it. Adams also sells and claim to have a very good swirl remover and polish.... You will need a machine to handle this job correctly. I use a porter cable 7424 and can highly recommend this. Oh and by the way..Adam's product is sold through one of the advertisers here at CCF.. Show and Shine or something like that.

The answer is yes . the car can be water sanded and new clear applied . We did it to Terrys Caravaggio not long ago and it looked awesome .

Hey Brian yeah Adams products are awesome, I have the kit with the Porter and have been using it for 3yrs now(comes with the Swirl and haze remover, Polish and the wax). And the detail spray is great, I use it all the time.
