Paint Quality on New Vett ?

guys what can you say about the quality of the paint job on the new corvette ? A friend of mine looked at one in the show room last week SMP in Saskatoon, $130K car . He said it was terrible and told the salesman it looked like a 67 3 ton truck , rough and very orange peeled. Are they all like that these days ? I haven't seen it.

Hey Michael. I wouldn't call mine rough, or looking like a 67 3 ton either, but on the same token, it is not a West Coast Customs show finish either. I would say it's comparable to the paint that my 09 C6 had. I looked the car over pretty well before I took delivery and found one little raised piece of dust under the paint which they fixed. Since then, I have noticed one small area on the lower front just beside the grill that looked like orange peel but I'm not sure now as since then I think it could be be a slight imperfection in the xpel application that I missed... I will be interested though to hear input from some of the other members.....
