We still have a couple feet of snow and about 8 inches of ice on the road. I am not going anywhere until at least May but I appreciate your optimism. 
We never know here for sure when we will get on the road. Usually May 1, sometimes June 1 but we don't hold our breath here in the west. Some years we don't get spring until September....errrr... What?.....
Saw someone out here in Ponoka today with his C5 vert! Bit early for me those puddles are full of salt. But yes a real good rain could change things for me!

Winter has been relentless this year and sort of shifted ahead 1 month because we had a green Christmas. Just when everything clears up a blizzard comes crashing in and it keeps cycling over and over again. So much for early spring.

Yesterday I was surprised to see a UFO (unidentified fast-moving object) overtaking all traffic, 2 lanes to my left and hidden by other traffic, in my peripheral vision. It turned out to be a motorcycle with a tall rider on it, zipping down the street at least 40 km over the 60 km/hr speed limit. You know Spring is around the corner when the bikers give in to their "Spring fever" and risk the asphalt grit still on the roads. Hopefully he takes it easy on the corners...
