Well friends. Did you and do you have a bucket list? Of course you do! Are you whittling away at it?.... Over the years I have crossed off a few but have added a few more items as I grow older.... I have no expectation of ever not having pending items on my list but that's what keeps us moving forward and life interesting. I just put a new one on my list tonight which is what gave me the idea of this post....

Interested in sharing? I'm interested in hearing..... no matter how extravagant or not. Sometimes what may seem trivial or simplistic means the most to us in some special way.

Me..... Then.....

1) Learn to play guitar.... this was my first bucket list item I can remember.... my mother tried to teach me guitar when I was very young (or so she told me) and I had no interest.... When I finally appreciated music at age 12, I dove into learning to play with a hunger and was overjoyed to be able to finally have many jam sessions with her in the years before she passed. She gave me music and I think of her with a smile every time I play.

....Yes good one Eric. Me too, when I grow up I'm still gonna run away and join a Rock 'n Roll band. Got a pile of guitars but never learned to really play but someday ........ !! I always say I gotta live to be 300 to finish the things I started and still want. A 66 pontiac custom sport slightly customized I still want to do after I finish my 58 sedan delivery. Add on to my shop but run out of time this year so next year. and the list goes on and on.,

Eric, I have been thinking about this all day. The bucket list used to be fairly well defined. The world changes, times change and apparently so does the list. At the moment there does not seem to be anything in the bucket, how bloody sad it that?

I've knocked many off my bucket list.

I seem to keep adding/modifying more to it as time rolls by.

A few big ones left:
- Drive / Co Pilot the Baja 1000. Had a chance 8 years ago but didn't have the 10K for the seat.
- Attend 24 Hours of LeMans
- take my wife to Africa and camp on the Savannah

Playing guitar and driving across Canada is on my list too!
But I only have a small bucket....
Should we maybe just meet half-way and turn on a stereo??
LOL
Graham
LOL Sounds like an awesome plan. We could meet up, crank up a few tunes and play some air guitar.
BTW, I don't have room in my bucket for anything else either.

You ever get into a funk and you have no idea why? Yesterday was one of those days and thus the empty bucket. So today I took another look and low and behold there in the very bottom of the bucket were a couple of things. Bonneville Speed Weeks. The Highlands of Scotland, I would like to just go for a wander but no idea how I could do that. And what is that? Oh Newfoundland. Have to get there.

And one last thing that has just come up. Meet up with Fred and Graham half way across Canada just to hear the guitars. I will be there. The bucket is filling again!

You guys have... and have had and accomplished some great bucket items...

Michael, Fred and Graham.... there is no good reason you don't pursue the guitar.... it's probably one of the least expensive bucket list items you will find.... just need to get a

And Murray... we all have the proverbial "funk" visit us at times.... trust me....
Newfoundland is on my list as well.... I know Fred...Grew up in NS and have never made it to Newfoundland..... yet!

The Wannagofast 1/2 mile shoot-out in Georgia is in my bucket.... as well as the drive cross Canada and see all you guys.... especially now that Bill is planning a BBQ.... :canada:.... Ever since we did that worlds best burger posting, I have been craving one of Bill's burgers...lol....
I can relate to the garage high Riley.... I achieved that one a while back. It didn't cost me a Chevelle but it did set the Corvette purchase back a few years....

Keep-em coming ...

A buddy of mine builds guitars....
I''m going to have him make one with this in it..
No-one will know!!!

Who's with me??
Graham

What! Are you serious Graham? You're going to have that ZZ4 crate engine built into a guitar? You do realize that you will only ever be able to play really fast music....
