Ok I've had enough of Winter!!

I'm still ok, I've been driving in my sleep for several weeks now. Wife says that instead of my usual snoring I have been making strange vroooom vrooooom sounds.

hahahaha.... too funny Bill. I've been dreaming of driving but Brenda hasn't commented on the vrooom vroooms yet....

-24 degrees. Roads were dry though albeit, a bit slippery with the Michelins, but with a litte care, I had the car out for a drive today. Put about 100km on her. But still, looking forward to parking the Durango and driving the Vette on a daily basis.

Wow..... I Have to bow down to you Zeeman.... Puts a whole new meaning to 'Daily Driver' I don't even like driving my Toyota when it's 24 below.....

Actually, today wasn't that bad. Was really more like -12 degrees today. But even though it was cold, barely any wind plus the sun was shining brightly, kept the feeling of cold to a minimum. Saturday was a lot worse.

I really feel for you guys out west though.

And Mark's a really old guy too. ;)

It is perhaps a good thing that the car is inside a SeaCan. A bit of a process to both load and unload the car. If it was in a garage I am sure that over the past week or two I would have been on the dry pavement with it. Plus this weekend, as good as the weather was, the car has no road insurance so it would also help temper the desire to be driving it. Heaven help me if I ever move and have a garage and nothing but pavement to get to teh highway though!

Highs of zero with freezing rain here forecast. Lows of -21 on Thursday though, back to winter!

New sunroof in place and just going through the final adjustments to get the height right at all four corners.

Cheers,

Garry

Mines in the garage but the packed snow on the 2% incline to get out pretty much would hoop me even if I did have road insurance on her.... that plus the 2km of gravel that I also have before I find asphalt.... What? -21.... hmmm.... low of -9 high of 0 forecasted here... amazing what difference a 6 hour drive can make

Ha Ha Stan. Old enough to start thinking of spending winters in a warmer location. I hate Winter!!

This winter and last winter have been fantastic!....when compared to the previous two winters. Those were horrible. But saying winter is fantastic is like saying, the dentist was great!.....at least this time I only needed 4 fillings and no root canals.
So, I'm glad someone pointed out its only 40ish more days until April! Woo! However, on a normal year, the driving season doesn't really start until May here. Sometimes mid April, but mostly May.
I am also looking forward to having the car out this year but not quite as much since buying a house used up my twin turbo fund.
But, at least I now have a garage for the car which takes a good chunk of stress off of worrying about the weather during the summer. I'm looking forward to the car staying cleaner, doing a whole bunch of work restoring the paint and making it look awesome. Woo!

Congrats on the new house Riley. Yup. Having the garage is nice.... Both for nasty summer weather and conjugal visits with your baby during the long cold winter months....

We will need to see some pic's of said house and garage....... Or it didn't happen.....:Nono1:

Once things are a bit more in order, I'll post some pics. haha. The biggest thing I am looking forward to is the reduced stress anytime the weather is calling for thunderstorms.
It's only a 20x22 garage so not a lot of space for working on things, however, I plan on finishing the walls, putting in heat, epoxying the floor, and once that is done and it's looking good, installing a glass door between the garage and house (I hope this is ok with the building code) so I can see my babies whenever I walk by the garage door.

Hey Mark -- just got to your post of Feb 14 -- and ugg -24 -- thankfully we didn't get much of that or much snow for that matter....

Getting close now to insuring the vettes and going out to play and seeing old friends again..... I"ve seen quite a few vettes and bikes on the road now, tho no surprise it's spring like out there now.

HOpe all is well in Acton

Cheers
Colin.
