I bought an oil filler cap with Mobil 1 on it (nearly $40 including tax) because the dealer said if I didn't chances are something else would go in otherwise. Another dealer told me recently they have now switched to Pennzoil and Mobil 1 would have to be special ordered if I wanted it.When in Bowling Green for the Corvette Bash last April I had a very interesting chat with Tadge Juechter about the issue of getting GM dealers to use not only Mobil 1 in Z51s with the dry sump engine but also the right oil filter! And as I found out not everyone doing oil changes on Corvettes knows the dry sump engine has two drain plugs.At some point in the 2014 model year GM did switch to oil filler caps with Mobil 1 on them, apparently. My C7 was built in late April 2014 but it still arrived with a cap saying "Dexos".
