Brought the C7 in for the oil change (Mobile 1) check to see why the a/c and fan don't work and hopefully fix them and finally clean and shine. Looks like the car will sleep for the next 5 - 6 months. A long wait. Looking forward to spring.

Had a spit of snow last Saturday but no sand and salt .I back my car into the garage with the nose pointed south
Yup taking mine in for it's free Mobile 1 oil change and also getting the OnStar upgrade done tomorrow.
And unfortunately I had the "Service Rear Axle" warning again when I had it out on Sunday, hoe it's not another new Module, will see.
Had snow on the weekend, but will try and get another 3-4 weeks of driving in before being put to bed

How did the OnStar upgrade go? Where does the new module go? No one (not even a dealer) has been able to tell me yet. I'm hoping they don't have to take apart the interior console.
And I was told Friday by one dealer that they recommend and use Pennzoil now and if I wanted Mobil 1 for my C7 it would have to be a special order.

First I've heard of this. My car was in Monday and they put in Mobile 1, no issues. I would ask to see GM's notice regarding the change.
I didn't even question about the Mobil 1, since they have always used. But I just looked at my service bill and it doesn't say Mobil1 10953468, Just Dexos part 19286279.
GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Called and they said sorry bring buy anytime and they'll change it out.
Well, they changed it out in 45 minutes.
The service adviser popped the hood when I got there and said, look it doesn't say Mobil 1 on the filler cap. I said your right, no idea why it doesn't, might be a good idea to change it, since GM has a bulletin stating that the Corvette dry sumps get Mobil 1. He went to his terminal and checked and said yup. After the oil change the service manager came to me and said he adviser put the wrong part number on for the oil change. I said both of you got it wrong and both of departments should have know better.
Makes you wonder sometimes.
I bought an oil filler cap with Mobil 1 on it (nearly $40 including tax) because the dealer said if I didn't chances are something else would go in otherwise. Another dealer told me recently they have now switched to Pennzoil and Mobil 1 would have to be special ordered if I wanted it.
When in Bowling Green for the Corvette Bash last April I had a very interesting chat with Tadge Juechter about the issue of getting GM dealers to use not only Mobil 1 in Z51s with the dry sump engine but also the right oil filter! And as I found out not everyone doing oil changes on Corvettes knows the dry sump engine has two drain plugs.
At some point in the 2014 model year GM did switch to oil filler caps with Mobil 1 on them, apparently. My C7 was built in late April 2014 but it still arrived with a cap saying "Dexos".
