A moderator on c8 corvette FB group shared that he checked the weight of base cast 5 spoke wheels and new for 2023 20 spoke "forged" wheels and that to his surprise the "forged" ones are 1 pound heavier.
I have also looked into the "forged" claim and everything points to OEM "forged" rims to being actually flow formed also know as flow forged which is a much cheaper and heavier when compared to a true forged wheel that is machined from a solid block of forged aluminum.
