Nice option unless it can nail ya.

We have had data recorders in our cars now for quite a while tho probably not to this degree.

Your always could testify against you. All the police have to do is download vehicle parameters from the ECU/ECM to get info. When you crash in an accident, the computer automatically records last last 15 seconds before the crash. That way you can't lie about speeding, etc. Toyota used that the lawsuits they had against them with the accelerator pedal issue. They even went so far as to have NASA engineers go through all the data. Insurance companies use this for information about clients driving habits.

Yes Justin that technology has been around for many years. Now it's getting more sophisticated and actually can be monitored by the driver. I personally think the more info available to the driver the better.

Agreed. I think it's a great feature, especially for those that are either novice or even seasoned racers to track the progress at the track. Awesome way to see where you are making mistakes and improving at the track. Plus, who doesn't like showing their buddies what their car can do via YouTube, Facebook, etc. It's just the bad side of that technology that can bite one in the butt if irresponsible.
