So I have been ordering parts from Corvette Depot for a while now and I recently ordered a NEW aluminum transmission pan so it will look good on my car and I receive it today. I look at it and let me say that when I buy something that says new I expected to be new. If I wanted to buy something used I would go online like kijiji or Ebay. The aluminum pan that I received from Corvette Depot was used. its has scratches on it and you can see a piece of an old gasket that was on previously. There is paint cracking on it and screws marks which there is chipped aluminium around the holes from the previous owner. Who does that?

It may of been the company of the transmission pan that shipped it directly to me. I will inquire about it..

give them a chance to correct things, crap happens, if they don't fix the problem then negative feedback is in order. hope it gets resolved quick.
That is partially what this forum is about!
You like something or someone/supplier - you say so and reasons why
You don't like something - you say why and a picture is worth a thousand words.
If the supplier resolved the problem to you satisfaction then you let that be know as well.
To err is human! Correcting the problem is what counts.

What a pain in the backside though ... having the effort and the wait for "water to go under the bridge"
once rectified. More concerning is the idea that too many "workers" are not looking to verify what they ship.
Worse yet if it's found out by any customer that is actually purposely shipped and labelled... "Here, this will do".

I’ve been ordering parts from them for about 5 years. One time they sent me the wrong rear struts. I ordered the more expensive ones with HEIM joints but they sent me polyurethane ones. I sent them pictures so they sent me a shipping label to send them back. No cost to me. It sucked but they had the proper ones to me fairly quickly. Hopefully they get it sorted out

Sorry but that is a very lame response! "So and so is away but she left all the information with ______and he/she will be happy to assist you" is how it should be handled imo.

It is a big weekend for sure, suppliers go to the show to see the latest and greatest the world has to offer so they can come back and sell that product to guys like Sly. Ironically it may cost them that very customer by dropping the ball. Old adage in any business, it is much cheaper to retain than retrain customers :)

Sema show or not, shouldn't this lady have done her job and made sure customer was satisfied before leaving to go to Vegas? Unfortunately I wanted to order different parts from C/C for my ZR-1 but they didn't have any in stock so had to order from Eckler's in U/S.

Had to file a claim dispute with Visa over a transaction with Corvette Depot. Shortly after filing the dispute the all monies were put back onto my card. With an email saying how they valued me as a customer, blah, blah, blah.
Did not have to pay any postage fees to return the article, I believe an earlier post wondered about that.
Any way, shouldn't have to file a dispute to get what is yours after they made a mistake. Sorry but they are off my list of vendors. One reason why I will be ordering from the U.S.

So I got a RMA number for it and its my responsibility to pay the shipping and then I called Corvette Depot and a woman sales rep answered and I asked her if I could get a replacement since I received my transmission pan used. So she talked to her supervisor and told her that those marks on the pan could of been caused when they were fabricated at the factory. I said to her no way. those marks are caused by the previous owner and there was a piece of old installed gasket still stuck in one of the screw holes. I also sent Corvette Depot those exactl pictures of the transmission pan that is on this topic. The woman salesperson had no clue what I was talking about and she says those pans are usually ship new and cannot guarantee the quality if Corvette Depot reships another one. I told her again the transmission pan was used!!!! I just asked for a full refund. whatever I am done with Corvette Depot!! If this company is unable to check the quality of the parts they shipped then I am going somewhere else, never had any issues with Corvette Central.

... and there you go ... and good for you asking ...
The response pretty much assures that your return may be put back into inventory. Then a different dude comes along with a form saying "pick a part to replace and ship" ... and you get the same part back.
The fact they thought that telling you about having to go to Vegas would actually help you and then it being followed up by "we cannot guarantee" ... might be enough Red Flags or Strikes-at-the-plate.
Too many people just seem to be only managing to keep their jobs without better attempts of customer assurance. As a Business Owner myself, I'd love to know if that person is Millennial as it is appearing to be a norm right now with so many things - hate saying but it's becoming more and more obvious. Sadly, the better Millennials out there are going to experience the "painted with the same brush" adage.

I am really hoping you can find a resolve for your part that you need ...

Coincidentally I am enduring time consuming hoops for a return/replacement with a shipment error from a different supplier. So far the process moves along but it has been 4 days now without assurance that they will be good to ship the correct part to me. I can return the item with a $2 stamp that they charged me US$17.25 to ship to me. I'm holding on at the cliff of faith so far ...
