from what i have been studying, it appears that the junkyard LS iron block engines are showing very little cylinder bore wear. is there a higher nickle content than the gen 1 engines ? i know that high mile caddy 472 and 500 ci could in most cases get away with just honing and standard size rings because of the higher nickle. anybody know ?
