I am ordering 2015 convertible 3lt with zf51 package, still not build yet:( but soon I hope!!! Could anybody please let me know if I should order 3lt z51 instead? And yes I have never test drive any corvette before! Just love the look so much!!! Is it truth it is not so smooth to drive? Please help!!'
 
Import from the USA... hmmm .... watch those rates carefully. I am 15 minutes from the Niagara/Buffalo border and looked at all aspects closely. There were three things that stopped me...

1. If you buy from the US, there is a 12K mile 'no warranty' clause when bringing it to Canada. You would have to take it to the US for warranty, or buy from a dealer who sells US cars here and covers it;

2. Exchange rate - With today's exchange, I couldn't find any opportunity whatsoever to match Canad'a's Vette prices. Also, there is no US dealer that will sell a Cdn a US Vette without a US address for ownership; and

3. Buying a US Vette from a dealer here. I looked closely at this, as well, until I spoke with a dealer who does this. He cautioned me that a tranny had bad problems in one of his sales and they couldn't fix it locally. It had to be sent back to where the dealership bought it in the US for warranty work in that case.

Having said that, I know Sherwood is selling both Cdn and US cars... They have contacted me 3 times now. In fact, they should be receiving one of the first Z06's within the next few weeks I believe.

There are lots of threads here related to the C7 that would be interesting for you to read. Many have put lots of effort into finding out what they can about the ordering process as well as optional packages. Very interesting information.

...welcome to the site. So you never drove a Vette before ? same here as of 2 months ago. You won't like it, it is low, can't see good, takes off like a scared jack rabbit, hard to crawl in and out of , people staring and pointing all the time , hard to keep under the speed limit ........BUT I guarentee you'll get used to it quick and wish you had one sooner. Enjoy your car, you'll love it.

I agree completely. I thought I better get one before I get too old and will be unable to climb into the car. Never test drove it and really didn't like it at first. Now it's awesome!!!

I got the 2015 z51 although I will never track the car, road only. Just wanted a track car for the road:D
