Replacing the old Kumho Esta-SPT tires with Bridgestone RE760 Sport tires. Not mounted yet but from the looks of them, all I can say is WOW! I'll see how they ride this weekend on the way to Ponoka.

Those are the front tires. Rears to go in today! They actually haven't hit the wear bars yet but the cracks in the tread made me nervous..... plus picking up that bolt last summer. I'll be looking to get an alignment done asap.... which means it's also a good time to drop about .75 to 1 inch out of the suspension.:Woohoo:

Review so far on the new tires.
Really starting to like the looks of the new tires. I find these slightly more round on the sidewall than the Kumho's which had sort of a square profile if that makes sense.

The trip out to Ponoka, I didn't find a huge difference in road noise. I was hoping it would make a huge difference but not really. On sort of broken highway, the sound was the same but on newer pavement, I believe they are quieter. I'm not totally sure as I didn't do a back to back comparison, but the new tires seemed to hit a little harder on the expansion joints. As for grip, well, I just drove on the highway so I couldn't comment to anyone on the meet if they were better than the old tires as really, I could have driven on 30 year old donut spares and it would have had the same results.

Both below tests for the tires were done in a controlled setting.

I did a couple tests on Saturday and am pretty please with the results.
The tires hold much better when launching from a stop and don't break like the Kumho's would (but they were 10 years old and baldish but could have used a burnout or two to really finish them off I guess, eh Fitzy :D).

Checking on acceleration up to 90, they only squirmed a little bit and left a nice chirp between 1st and second. When doing the same thing with the old tires, the rear end of the Corvette would really move around so it's nice having a much more stable tire.
