Hello, new to this forum. Just bought a 98 pewter convertible with the stock rims. I'm looking to buy better looking rims and I'm looking for suggestions for brand, colour and size. I've been reading it's common to increase to a 18 front and 19 rear with c6 rims on c5's but I'm leary of changing the stock size. Not looking for performance, just a better look. Thanks

I went with 19" CCW's front and back. Part of the reason was availability of tires. Stock C5 Z06 tires were becoming hard to find. Went with Michelin Pilot Super Sports 265/30 front 305/30 rears. Very pleased with the look and performance.

Welcome to the forum. Best of luck with your new car and decision about rims/tires. Take your time lots of options and looks available but ultimately buy what you like.

A very common upgrade to the C5 is to go with 19" wheels front and back and it looks killer. CCW's look about the best in my opinion but there are some other great wheels. Other brands of wheels to look at are Forgestar (although you can only do 18" Front and 19" Rear with these. Cray makes Corvette specific wheels. Also check out the TSW Nurburgring. Those are great wheels at a great price point. You can also do the C6 OR C7 route as you stated but you should run a 3/8" spacer on the rear to bring the wheel out a bit. In my opinion, Pewter only really looks good with polished aluminum or chrome or a back and chrome rim. I have yet to find a colour that looks good with pewter and if you find one, let me know!!!!
However, no matter what wheel combination you go with, make sure the rear tire diamter is between 1/2 to 1.5" larger than the front tires otherwise you'll have traction control issues.

JetZ, those HRE's are good looking wheels. However what I really like is your brake package. Man that is a good looking car.

Did you lower the car a few inches? That is one sick looking package....love the red painted Brembo's on the 4 corners!

Thanks gents for the kudos, much appreciated!

Car is hung with Pfadt c/o's, comp bars etc.
Brembo's are 15" 8 piston front, 14" 4 piston rear
Car is tubbed, 285/30-10.5", 345/25-13"
Caravaggio put it together.
