Heads up to CCF Members to explain some mysterious test threads that are cropping up.

We're launching a few new features that should make posting a little easier and quicker, and more intuitive for newcomers.

First up:

1. Create Thread button on our home page - we will soon have a create thread on our home page which will open up a list of forums where you want your thread created. Basically making it quicker than clicking into a forum then hitting Post Thread. This should be available in the next few days.

2. Quick Threads - you will see in the test forum a new feature we call Quick Thread. This is a helper feature that will allow you to quickly type a heading and body of a thread without ever hitting a button or leaving the current page. It's pretty cool albeit a little buggy. You can see it in action at the top of the forum here: Test Board

3. Guest posting - guest or members who are not signed in will be able to quickly post anything and have it published after they register/login. This is a nice neat way to get non members to interact and take some of the bitterness from registration away.

More stuff coming soon.

Thanks guys.

The Post New Thread button is now available on the forum home page, this should bring up a list of subforums where you'd like your thread posted. It's basically a short cut, feel free to use.

I may put it up in other places also.

The Quick Post input box is now also deployed to all forums, you'll see this box at the top of each forum. You can basically quickly start typing the heading and body of the thread and it should auto create. Again, a shortcut.

Enjoy.
