Thanks everyone.
I’ve had some classic collector cars over the years but always had my eye on C6 Corvettes.
Having sold my last collector car about a month ago, I ramped up my search thinking perhaps “off season” would help me out.
I missed a couple of deals on “Base models” that I dragged my heels on. Having said that, I’ve always loved the wide body look. While that took me up in price, I thought if I found a deal that I could pull off without having to finance it, I would.
A week and half ago I swore I’d looked at every C6 for sale online in Canada.
This one was in Manitoba, it’s a true Canadian 1owner Car. I made a really stinky offer based on 2 weeks till Xmas and they countered really close. I got shipping thrown in and we had a deal.
Some verbage in the contract around BC Provincial inspection having to match Manitoba Provincial inspection or they’d pay repairs and we were off to the races!!
The car arrived Friday, no time for inspection until today. A few sleepless nights due to marginal insurance coverage as it wasn’t really “registered” in anyone’s name so it couldn’t be insured properly. It passed with flying colours today and we managed to get it home today before the snow arrives!

Should be fun!!

No as I am too far away from the meeting places for both; however, I have been invited by both local clubs ( Langley & Rmd.) to attend events which I did. Graham (Rmd. club) invited me over to his place last summer for as small meet with 7 guys & their cars - Ziggy was there from Edmonton and we did a cruise up to Pemberton the following day. I am hoping to get involved in 2018 and perhaps our paths will cross?
