I fully appreciate and agree with the classification and differences in both perception and handling performance of the Corvette vs the Camaro.

I fully admit I do not take the Camaro seriously as that car is totally boned going into the first corner against any Corvette. Horsepower be damned. I've owned and driven brand new Camaros and was always in envious awe whenever I saw a Corvette which at the time was an unreachable dream for me. Owning and driving any Corvette let alone a new Corvette like I have now has a feeling that no other car in my price range can come close to matching. Truly my dream car.

So I get the so eloquently put scalpel vs sledgehammer differences. It's just natural suspicion of the "good intentions" of GM that raised this thought.

So although very true Camaros are up against stuff compitition in its "class" and fighting to stay competitive there... the improvements have been substantially moving toward the driveline, suspension and aerodynamic considerations of the Corvette.

I'm also highly impressed with the passion you guys have for Corvette and the debate that ensued.

Sorry if the thread seems somewhat highjacked... but damn this is fun.
