Bobby Allison leaning over the pit wall to shake hands with his son Davey Allison after winning the race at Richmond, Virginia on March 7, 1993. Davey would be gone months later in a helicopter crash on July 13, 1993. Bobby of course was struggling with his own issues after a devastating career ending 1988 Pocono crash. Davey's brother Clifford was killed in an accident at Michigan in August 1992. Racing is not always kind.

Touching pic.

Bobby and Davey in Victory Circle at the Daytona 500 in 1988. First and only time father and son finished one two in the Great American Race. Happy Days.
