[QUOTE="VikingTrad3r, post: 164424, member: 2229"] update!! I am once again on the western half of the continent. So I’m feeling like I’m almost home. In fact I’m about nine hours from home. So yesterday after making the decision to leave The cabin a little early, I transitioned out of the Canadian shield which is the boreal forest with lots of metamorphic and igneous rock outcropping that makes geologists like me horny. It just does. I spent the night at the super eight in Winnipeg Manitoba. I waited out front for valet but nobody showed up. I awoke to a beautiful vista over the TransCanada highway looking over the prairies. I have to admit I miss the boreal forest and the lakes. To get home to my wife and children I must cross the prairies and go all the way to the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. In the arms of the foothills. The speed limit over the prairies is much higher than in the Canadian shield. For obvious reasons. The Canadian shield, the penalty for going off the road is Insta death. You’ll hit a rock. Here on the prairies you’d probably just come do a rolling stop in a hayfield or a canola field, not to mention the road here is perfectly straight. Due to the increase in travel speed I stopped at a city called Brandon Manitoba grabbed breakfast and drove to a tire shop where they could re-balance my tires. Previous to this I was unable to exceed 105 km/h without a horrible shake. He rebalanced and all is well. from there I spent about two hours on the phone with some work related business, using this hands-free I bought for the trip and it’s very good. No one can tell I’m driving. It’s a Plantronics, highly recommended for people who drive and talk hands-free. So now I am approaching the town in which my mother and father met and crew up. It is called Moose jaw, saskatchewan. When I roll through here with the children we always stop at this gigantic moose. so I think it’s only appropriate that I get a photograph of the moose and the Z. Here are some more photos to share, and oh by the way when we did the tires rebalancing, I had a look underneath the car. Looks like there is a small oil leak somewhere towards the front of the engine. So to all of my LT5 Brothers and sisters now, looks like I’ll be heading over to the ZR1 section and the registry, to diagnose and repair. That should keep me occupied for a good couple of months.
