Not really the same scenario, but I've been looking to increase the power for a '93 Tbi engine that I have.

So far, the consensus seems to be to find Vortec heads that have been machined to allow more lift (they only allow .450" from the factory), a new intake, a conservative performance cam, and headers, should be good for ~ 350hp.

However, this all depends on what the resulting compression ratio will be, blah, blah, blah. A lot more research has to go into this combination, but I'm using engine masters as a starting point, which may or may not be very smart. :D
