I am like you guys. I understand the benefits of mid-engine cars for cornering, etc... when it comes to moments of inertia and the other hard physics of it. But turning the Corvette into a mid-engine, high-priced car takes away from the emotional aspects of the Corvette brand. Nothing will say sports car like the outline of a long hood and a short rear deck that an ordinary blue collar worker can hope to one day afford. These high-priced mid-engine cars are way out of the leaque of what most peaple can buy and do not have the heart-pulling emotional aspect at all. If GM wants to build a mid-engine car call it something else but do not call it a Corvette!
