Hi Wayne here, I was very instrumental in helping Derek make the Meet in the Middle a huge success here in Winnipeg the summer of 2018.

The thought was to do this annually but due to the Bowling Green event this September it was suggested to skip this year. It doesn’t look like Derek will be available to organize another one or even attend, but I certainly would like to revive the event again for 2020 and don’t mind spearheading up event if the interest is there.
So just throwing the idea out there again to see how much interest there might be for another event of this nature.

Let me know if it were to happen how likely it would be you’ll attend next summer?

So please share your thoughts. If you attended last time, what suggestions might you have for the next one? Private message me if need be.

Certainly, open to all ideas and suggestions. If the interest is there, I may post a survey..

Cheers Wayne

Hello Wayne, it's been a while. I would definately be interested in attending once again. It was great meeting you and for all of the warm and friendly Manitoba hospitality. Feel free to pm myself to discuss 2020's options and ideas. Cheers!

Where’s the middle? I be thinking Ontario!
This is the middle!

Personally will be at Corvette Invasion ll (2020) in Kingston and I am also considering running the Blue Ridge Parkway and tale of the Dragon later in the year with maybe a stop at the NCM on the way back. This year's 25th anniversary was great fun.
Adding in a run to Winnipeg might be a little too much for me
Aside from my personal agenda the trip out to MITM was great and the welcome from the Winnipeg Corvette club was great as well. Would recommend it to anyone that wants a fun time. Plus Wayne even had Lover Boy put on a show at the casino. lol

Say it is not true! 😉
LOL.... Sorry Kevin. It's true.... Here's proof... Was a great run. Would be great to see some more of our eastern members make the run too (Kudos to the members from Ont., QC, etc. that made the trip and met us there...... A bit longer drive than I made from Red Deer, but what are these great machines for if not to drive and enjoy meeting the friends we talk to here on a regular basis.

Yikes.....that would be a whole year of mileage.

It was 2500K each way for me. A great ride and met up with great people.
Showed me what our cars are made for.
There was only me from Qc and Jim from On for the eastern contingent. Hopefully there will be more for the next one whenever that is.
Next year, 2020, I doubt I would be there.

14 hours for me. Our BC members are about the same mileage as you. Like I said, these cars perform better on the road than in the garage and you guys have great Vette roads coming west too. Looks like 20 hours of big smiles to me man.

It was quite the surprise the first year when I saw how long of a drive it was from southern Ontario to Winnipeg! But the option of diving through the States is pretty nice.
The MITM meet was excellent! I was so impressed with the hospitality put on by the Manitoba folks. I will see what I can do to make it another year, but I added an additional non-wheeled creature to the family this year (well, actually, my wife did, I just got to stand there being useless :D) so I may be out for a while until I can start dragging my boys along....unless I can make my wife so tired of me that she would welcome the break?

Hmmm...eastern NL to Winnipeg...4760km...55 hours plus a 7 hour ferry ride 5-6 days @ 10 hr/day. Return trip would be well over 10,000km.
Sounds like it could be a great trip.... wonder if theres a flatbed truck going up from here empty...:trucking:
Now that's a Vette run.... Cya there...
