Hi guys just wonder if this would work as my floor to ceiling is around 7 3/4'. Its says you can use this lift if you have an 8-9 ft floor to ceiling...Luv the potability of it but could be a tight squeeze under there...Or its not worth it?

Always wanted a lift in the garage but the height has always been a problem.....I have a single car garage also

that looks like the same unit that costco sells. i think it is 2,000 bucks delivered. i think given a choice of that or nothing it would be ok. only thing that i would be kinda' apprehensive or paranoid about is anchoring it really well.

The only caveat that I can see is that you would want to make sure your floor thickness in the garage is a minimum of at least 4" of concrete. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to hammer drill a hole exactly where the hoist would be mounted. The reason being the two poster puts a lot of pressure on the floor with the weight of the hoist and car mounted on such a small area. Six inch thickness would even be better. I think you'll find that contractors usually scrimp when it comes to garage floors, so it's better safe than sorry.

I watched them pour my floor, and I know that it is not evenly poured, as the sand base was not perfectly level. If I was putting one of these units in, I would get a 12" footing put in where the anchors go.
