Magnesium Wheels

Good day all, I have recently purchased another set of Magnesiun wheels for my 2001 C5.
This set came to me from Brantford, Ontario and when I opened the crate I saw that the word MAGNESIUM was printed on the wheel.
The original set on my car did not have that when I purchased it 5 years ago.
I was wondering if anyone out there knows if these wheels came from the factory like that back in the day or if maybe the previous owner might have added that to the wheels.

If you want to compare if 2 similar wheels are both magnesium, weigh them. Magnesium is 2/3 the weight of aluminum.

No thats what I'm up to...I know the wheels are magnesium, it's just that the wheels I have just purchased have the stickers on the front of them that say magnesium. Just wondered if that sticker actually came from GM or if it was an add-on by a previous owner.

I found a few pictures on the old interwebs last night with the same stickers. Those pictures lead me to beleive that it definitely was on the rims when they drove out of the factory. I'm wondering if the Museum would be able to confirm the same.
