Hello SM.. The firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2. Clockwise around the cap. This should be cast into the plastic retaining ring on the top of the distributor.I believe the wire for cylinder #1 is the terminal closest to the 'M' in 'REMY' on the front of the distributor cap.Cylinder #2 should be closets to the 'tach' terminal in your picture. Cylinder #8 nearest the 'L' in DELCO.Usually the #1 plug wire starts at the #1 terminal and goes clockwise around the cap to come out and down on the driver's side.Do you have an assembly manual(AM) for your car yet? They are an invaluable tool to make things correct on the car.The AM shows correct spark plug wire routing thru all the grommets.Making things correct can be a rewarding challenge.good luck...have fun...
