Hey all , I'm fairly new to the corvette world - going ahead with the purchase of 2007 Z06 corvette.
I only get the car later this week but I'm already looking for a mechanic shop that can do simple oil changes for me. (should I be going to the dealership for this or should I find a C6 guru ?) I'm in Barrie, Ontario and will need a shop that's well familiar with these cars as I'll eventually need work to be done and dont want to take it to just ANY mechanic.
If anyone knows any reputable mechanic shops that they recommend around the Barrie area feel free to share your suggestions and experiences, thanks!

Hello V8 427.
I am in Barrie as well.
Peacock at Essa Rd and Innisfil St, is my current go to very honest, fair prices, good workmanship.

Have had work done at OK tire on Blake workmanship not so good and high parts cost.

Tried once at Sadlon GM dealer, they told me the car was too old, which just PMO, stay away.

Georgian GM in Mapleview area, never had work done on the vette there, but other cars. If you want a dealer definitely a better shot than Sadlon.

Never never never Canadian Tire, rip off specialists.

Raceready Garage in Cambridge and get them to check the valve guides as well. Many LS7 engines have sloppy guide problems that need to be looked at. Dave at Raceready is very familiar with this. At the very least, give him a call to discuss. Any wrench twister can hack their way through an oil change but having someone with lots of Vette experience is priceless. JMO

Thanks for replying, I thought this forum was dead haha
The car has already been worked on from the previous owner at Race Ready Garage and they replaced the Heads and Cam. My exhaust mufflers are obnoxiously rattling so I might be taking it back in the spring. I think I'll be going to Peacock Shop for oil changes. Thanks again fellas

Try Dino at Hot Wheels in Newmarket.
