Yes, I thought they might produce both cars for a while. I have paid my money to order a C8 after the reveal in July. We shall see? depends how much they give me on trade - only 10,500 Km on my car. The GM told me that they will not be marking the MSRP up - against corporate policy - Carter GM.

GM told me their dealerships are independent entities and can do as they please with mark-up. This is in response to an email I sent asking how their dealerships can be allowed to price over MSRP.
Most dealerships do the gouging; especially the “group” ones but definitely some do not. Happy you have a good one that cares more about keeping you as a good customer than ripping you off at the first opportunity.

I think he may be referring to Carter corporate policy not General Motors policy. Dealers are independent and i believe it is against the law for manufacturers to dictate pricing (unless you are a gas retailer) haha
