Pretty serious vulnerability making the rounds this week called Krack Wifi.

The executive summary: don't use public wifi when accessing non secure websites and in general be weary of using public wifi.

Here’s what you can do to protect yourself from the KRACK WiFi vulnerability

The vulnerability is particularly bad for Android 6.0 devices apparently though almost all platforms are affected in some way. Always connect to trusted https (secure) sites or use a known/paid VPN service when on public wifi to ensure that if your wifi packets are intercepted and decrypted you still have another layer of encryption beneath that.

Thanks for the heads up Nik. Just finishing reading about this before I checked in here.
Thankfully I have never trusted public wifi in the first palce, especially in some of the out-of-the-way places I end up in.
